New Member in NE PA

Hi guys,
I’m a fairly recent move-in. Live very close to Lackawanna State Park.

I’ve spent a couple of hours on the Lack, and a couple on Legget’s creek. Caught fish on Leggets, fishing a dry fly with a pheasant tail. Tried Euronymphing technique for the first time (just go a new 10’ 3wt to try it out). On the Lackawanna with no luck.

Anyone live near me who can recommend good streams to fish?

Looking forward to expanding my knowledge of fishing in the East. Moved from the West where I did most of my Flyfishing.

Lackawanna offers a lot of fishing spots by itself. Close to you is the South Branch of the Tunkhannock Creek.
I am up in Carbondale, not far from you and am retired. I am traveling from Feb 8 to Feb 15, but am willing to meet up with you, if you would like a fishing partner.

If you haven't yet been to A&G Outfitters in Dixon City you need to take a trip.

Besides the inventory there is a lot of info and the Lackawanna is right out back.

I fished a number of small mountain streams for sure. Big name rivers I’ve been on include; In Colorado: Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, South Platte, Gunnison, Blue and Colorado River plus others I can’t think of… In Utah, The Green River, The Provo River… In Idaho, Henry’s Fork. I also fished the Yellowstone briefly.

I tried my luck on S Fork Tunkhannock Creek… beautiful day, NO FISH… I posted a report on my day as well… any Suggestions for success?
