The laces from Yakoda and Duluth Trading both look like great options and I'll probably try them for my hiking boots.
I've had a couple pairs of Korkers wading boots with the BOA closure system (wire laces). Been happy with them. I had to replace one BOA after 3 or 4 years of moderate use. Replacement kits are available from Korkers for $13 and probably a good thing to have with you.
