Morrish Mouse

I was at Big Meadows Fly Shop in mid-May and Bob taught me how to tie a Morrish Mouse. Thanks a bunch for the help, Sandfly.

I hope to catch some bass on this pattern this summer, and hopefully some big 'bows on the Naknek River in September.

I gotta give credit where credit is due. The fly in the foreground was tied by Sandfly, mine is the one in the back.

I love to fish mouse flies. You'll find that bass will hit that fly with enthusiasm. Trout like 'em too but, in my experience, catching trout on mouse (or mouse style) flies is a bit more of a specialized game.
Bass, however, will crush 'em under much more frequent and typical conditions. Mouse fishing is a lot of fun.

Nice ties lads. Thats a cool mouse pattern...looks like it moves water well, and i really like the tail.
