I went out exploring with my brother in law this morning to check out a pond that some retired guy in my office told me about. He said "My buddy was catching 2-3 pound bass left and right". Yeah that was a fish story if I've ever heard one. We combined caught about 40 bluegill and each caught what I assume to be the same crappie (maybe not). It is atleast twice the size of any other crappie I've ever caught and maybe the biggest one I've ever seen. Thought it was a bass at first until my brother in law pulled it out of the water. The funny thing is that this pond was maybe 40 yards long at the most. I bet he's snacking on all those small bluegill all day long.
