It wasn't a very nice day and I spent some time at the bench on size 18 midge patterns. All feedback welcome.

Don,

I like them all. Is it just me or is the bead head on the first one ****ed a little? Just seems to be at an angle I would not expect, but I'm a newbie at this, so take the question with a grain of salt.

nice ties....I tie a lot like that and I also tie alot with as small a bead as I can fit over the hook and almost no dubbing/peacock....I think it gives the look of a smaller 20/22 size fly without going to the smaller hook size.

I have also started using straight eye emerger hooks in small sizes to give a larger hook gap as well

They look like bugs you would find in water like a stream.

They look delicious

Very nice!!

zebra midge is sexyyyy

They look good but if you want some honest criticism....

1.The first two are too fat. Find some natural midge larva and take a look at it. they arent too fat and tapered like that.

2.beads are too big.

besides that, they'll still fish. :)

The black zebra midge was the ticket on the Breeches yesterday. i gotta add some collars.
