My hobby lathe is a 16 x 54 Pacemaker covering a 4' x 10' footprint with 3 tons of prewar cast iron.
Here I'm putting a new tip on my favorite pool cue:

Manual and a bench top. Making ferrules would probably be the only thing that i would need tight tolerances, so not junk but also not top of the line. My friend who past a few years a go was the mechanical engineer and a double minor in mathematics and computer science. His CNC setup was amazing.
