Md. Hot Spots?

Planning a weekend Camping trip and was wondering if anyone here knows of any hot spots along the Md./Pa. border or within an hour over the border into Md. ?
Any help is appreciated.

Most, if not all, trout streams in MD are within an hour over the border. The better waters are in Frederick County and points west. Garrett County is world class. If you're camping in Frederick County, you will probably want to check out Big Hunting Creek and the South Mountain watershed located in Catoctin National Park and Cunningham Falls State Park. If you're out in Garret Co the best known waters are the Yough and North Branch Potomac. Please keep in mind that MD has widespread didymo issues (no felt soles, need to clean gear etc).

In frederick county where I live there are lots of great streams you reAlly can't go wrong. I can give you specific spots if you want just pm me
