Marsh Creek Lake 4/3-4/4 trap net catch of Muskies.

Marsh Creek Lake continues to be a go-to lake for Muskellunge and tiger muskellunge. A one-night set of four trap nets this week for Yellow Perch (abundant, but growth rates to be determined) captured 7 Muskellunge and 4 tiger muskellunge. Based on statewide data, the minimum catch rate in Pennsylvania that determines whether stocking success has been significant enough to continue stocking is one Muskellunge (or tiger) for every four trap net sets. Pures ranged from 32-42 inches and tigers ranged from 33-42 inches.
