Too often we hear about the negatives in life and I just wanted to share a really really positive experience that I've had with purchasing a rod on short notice.
I called March Brown yesterday and spoke to Dave Sousa around 4:30 on april 26th and explained that I made a last minute decision to flyfish southern germany while I am there. Issue is I leave on Friday 4/29 and my 5 weights are all 2 piecers and I really wanted a travel rod. So I wasn't treating the airline thieves.
Dave explained that he is out of 5 weights and we settled on a 7 piece 4wt. He gave me a GREAT price and best part was he took care of the overnight shipping for me! by 5:45 I had an email confirmation that UPS was set to pick up the package (mind you he was driving at the time when we talked) and I received my rod this morning before 9am. I'll have a report/pics and review of the rod when i get back.
