With the waters cooling as we head deeper into fall and winter is anyone chasing the toothy critters? I know many refocus on salmonids this time of year but I've heard fall can be the best time to catch a muskie and I would assume pike as well.

I thought about launching at a local lake that has some muskie in it to see if I can finally get one on a fly.

I haven't had much time, but you are right...this is one of the best times to find active teeth!
good luck!

Student........keep in mind that the Allegheny river is the only place in Pa where natural reproduction occurs with Musky , the Kinzua area is reported to hold some monsters , being from Westmoreland county you got the teeth right in yer backyard.
