Lost Rod Section

Lost the top piece of my HMG graphite 4-piece Fenwick 5-wt 9ft. The model is GFF905-4. Fenwick says they can't help because the model was discontinued. Could an entire section with snake guides and tip guide be purchased somewhere, or made by a good rod builder for a reasonable price? thanks.

No. Plain and simple.

A builder would need a section from a blank of the same make and model as your rod which is unlikely to happen since the rod has long ago been discontinued. This brings you back to square one.

Best bet would be find someone who broke the same rod on a different section and is still storing the tip. Good luck with that, though.

Or, go looking for the lost tip.
