I don't know if this is related to PM issues but for the last 3 days I can't login from any PC other than my work PC, which is the PC I initially set up the account on. When I login from a different PC I get the "Welcome to..." login message but I am not logged in because the user menu does not appear to the right and if I go to a topic it does not show me as being logged in at the top but rather as "1 annonomous user."

I have experienced that issue before. Clean wipe of cache and temp files on the symptomatic machines fixed it, if I remember correctly.
