Layout changes?

not sure if I did something or if the site just had some cosmetic changes, but i no longer see avatars or other info about the user on the left hand side of the page. In a thread all I see is the bolded user name and then the text of whatever they posted. Is there a way to fix this?

There is a drop-down box entitled "View Mode." You probably had yours changed to "compact." I think you want "flat."

my display mode is set to flat... i don't think thats it.

Look at the top above your OP. You will see view mode there. Click the drop down. If flat is present, click it. I am quite sure it will be there and solve the problem.
