Hi folks, i hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I'm looking for some recommendations to fish next weekend near Lititz (Lancaster county), as i will be in the area for a wedding Saturday and spending 3 nights.
Living west of pittsburgh I've never fished east of Harrisburg and after doing a little research I landed on the Tully as an option I would really like to try out. (Depending on conditions) other options are Hammer creek and Quittapahilla Creek. All within 30min.

Hopefully ill get to Penns or LJ on the way home 😊...

Any advice or recommendations greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

John

As far as larger streams you nailed it. I live here and often travel an hour from home to get into good fishing. Penns will be out of your way going back to Pittsburgh but fish the little J if the flow is less than 400 cfs. If not I would try yellow creek on your way back. Litiz run is a stocked spring creek that could also be an option however you will be limited to the TU section of the creek as everywhere else requires a mill port badge.

If small stream fishing is your thing or breweries/restaurants feel free to pm me.

Of those, Hammer is by far the best IMO, but it’s pretty small. If you’re not into smaller streams, the Tully is probably a better fit.

I lived in Lebanon County for six years, and I could pretty much see the headwaters of the Quittie from my house. I fished it exactly twice over that time. That should sum up my thoughts on it. Skip it. It’d be the last of the streams mentioned so far that I’d choose to fish.

Lititz Run can be confusing and has a lot of access issues. If you’re not familiar with it, probably best to fish that with someone who knows their away around it for the first time and where you can and can’t be.

Many thanks, much appreciated, if the weather corporates i was planning on staying over around coburn on the way home, if it works out (and my daughter can take my wife home). Forgot about yellow, its been a long time since I've fished yellow.
And yes I'd love to visit a brewery, however not gona happen this trip as we have family plans every night and I'll be lucky to get on a stream for a few hours Crossing my fingers...
