Hi there
Wondering if the group could share some lake or pond suggestions in the Philadelphia/Cherry Hill area. Don't have a boat. I've tried Newtown Lake in Haddonfield, and the Cooper River Park many times without success. Would love a shot at some bass, and get my 8 year old casting a fly line from the bank.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Not too familiar with fishing in the city and never fished it myself but there is always FDR park in South Philly. If you want to head west of the city Marsh Creek Lake in Downingtown has some decent spots to cast from the bank.

Marsh creek is good. Also, green lane resivoir has great bass fishing, not to mention all varieties of panfish. Its a little bit of a drive but one of the better lakes in the area. They have boat rentals too, which would make casting easier.
