Hello, I live in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. I'm looking for a nice section of the Juniata to wade and fish for smallmouth Bass. A good section that is knee to waste deep or so. I'm willing to travel up to 2 hours from home. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, Jim

The key to wade fishing the Juniata is to wait until water levels drop below 4 feet at the Newport gauge (use the USGS map on the right).

The river is currently around 4' right now so you can wade effectively from almost all the many public access sites along the river. Just head up - you'll have no trouble finding spots.

Thanks for the info Dave. Much appreciated!
