Always wanted to write him a letter but never got around to it. RIP.

That's a damn bummer. Loved his books. My son and I saw him do a reading at the Somerset show a number of years back, was excellent.

Sorry to read this. I think I have read and possess nearly all of his books. I particularly enjoyed his earlier books. His writing style was enjoyable, and I liked his attitude toward fly-fishing. Fly-fishermen who like to read are going to miss him.

I seriously read through his books almost constantly, probably have read them all 6 times. There is always on on my nightstand.
