I started on part 2 as well but read a couple paragraphs and decided to find part one. Don't know if I've read anything like that on hatch mag before, good stuff.

As a Scout I camped near that spot on Sandy Hook. We actually slept in the old concrete gun emplacements. Unfortunately I never considered bringing a fishing rod with me.

"Calculated Risk" was a good read for sure. I didn't read the first part. I skimmed it briefly after I read part two. The first part isn't even needed. If you only read part two it leaves you having to figure some things out which made it very enjoyable.
