Dear Board,

Have any of you checked the long-range weather forecast?

This might actually turn out to be the first year in about 20 that the Hendrickson's weren't over before Easter!

I remember one year fishing with my brother Terry Murphy on Tobyhanna Creek in the Delayed Harvest section almost 40 years ago. We had gone through a bit of warm spell before Opening Day weekend, but when we got there, it was cold, and crappy and the wind started howling. We stuck around anyway as we drove 2 hours to get there. All of a sudden snow started flying and fish started rising. We caught more fish than anyone deserved to catch while Hendrickson's just sat on the water shivering their skinny little bug behinds off.

The things you remember.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

Average to warm-ish, with rain, this weekend, and then all of next work week looks to be 5-10 deg below average, with Tuesday in particular more like 15 deg below average.

January and February 2025 were cold, but March was relatively warm compared to average for most of the state. I kinda figured things would end up a net wash.

I was definitely seeing Hendricksons, and lots of them, on OD weekend last year.
