We slayed the stillwater trout in Ireland last week on this fly - during hot bright cloudless weather with the salmon rivers desparately low :

designed on Loch Leven, pond trout love it and i think fresh stocked trout and wild natives might as well.
I think they will go a treat for WW species, bass etc too.
the version we fished had one green flash each side of the marabou tail.
as we were teaching my nephews to fish it was vital they caught fish, and this did the trick.
give it a try.
Cheers
Mark.
