How do you Preserve Grouse Skin?

I can't see the picture, however, they normally look pretty pathetic fresh out of the water. Once they dry and you give them a good fluffing they puff right back. It should be smooth sailing from here, the messy part is done.

Lets try the image again. Pathetic is a great way. I got as much of the flesh off as I could. The may have been a tiny amount on the but section of the tail but I did want to destroy the fan trying to get it out.

Looks good! Don't sweat the little bit of flesh on the tail, it should be fine. For reference I don't always debone the tail on my squirrels and never have a problem. Flipping the skin on the cardboard part way through or wedging something in there so you get some air flow underneath may help. As much circulation as possible is key.

Will do. John and everyone else that helped, I cant say thank you enough for your patience and guidance. I am pretty exited to use these after they finish up. I have some silk thread on the way and cant wait to tie up some grouse and gold's.
