Hidden gem of a wild trout stream

I recently discovered a hidden gem of a small stream. It has no name for a stream about 15 foot wide, and the lower sections have bass and blue gill, I almost completely turned around since there were no trout, then I turned a corner and the whole stream changed from slow flat pools to pocket water and riffles. I was able to pull out several small wild brown trout and a chunk of a brown coming in at just over 22 inches. They were eating Hendricksons and march browns. Not going to spot drop but just wanted to share, becaue there are still hidden gems

There absolutely are still hidden gems, many of them. You better believe you're not the only one who knows about those trout, though.

Beautiful wild browns! Glad you found a honey hole. Marginal areas of limestone influenced streams often times hold big surprises. Not sure if that’s the case with your hidden gem. Now see how many times you can get that big guy to come back out to play and if he has a mate. Happy hunting!

Nice find there! It’s always great to find those occasionally .
I found my latest “ hidden gem” last summer , in a familiar crick. Was pleasantly surprised by the wild browns in there. My largest trout of the year too; so it’s special. Can’t wait to see if that hooked jaw is still lurking there.

I downloaded the photo and looked for the GPS coordinates. I didn't find them. So either the original poster has GPS turned off, or he stripped the GPS coordinates before posting, or, most likely, @DaveKile has the site set up to strip the GPS coordinates for uploaded photos. Hopefully the later...

I always screenshot my photos and upload the screenshots to avoid this. Although I’m not sure if that does anything

I've never really concerned myself with metadata (data about data) from my pics being used to figure the locations of the streams I fish. Mainly, because most of them are pretty difficult to access. If you're willing to go through the hassle getting to them, you've earned the opportunity to fish them.
