Hay Creek

Just asking if anyone has fished on hay creek and what your opinions are of the quality of this stream. I plan on visiting this particular creek soon.

The quality of the stream is fine. It is abused locally. It is somewhat remote when you work towards the center of the park. Some hold over and some wild. Tons of pressure at beginning of the season and after scheduled stockings.

You can avoid all of that by fishing the lengthy ,for the SE, Class A section, but you will need to ask permission.

I fished it for the first time last week and though the water is beautiful. I can't testify as to the conduct of anglers, though everyone I met on my trip was curtious and not abusing the resource.
There was a wild fire there the day I was there.
