Hardy fly line

Anyone use hardy marksman line?

A local seller is offering at a big discount, but "you get what you pay for.

Any advise appreciated.

I've seen them being blown out online. Was tempted to buy one and try it but never did. Someone on here has used it and hopefully, they will respond.

For what it is worth -- I was told by a local fly shop that carried Hardy fly line that they have changed manufacturer and are therefore getting rid of the old stock for the "new and improved" version. His opinion was the new line from the new manufacturer was not as good as the old line and he is therefore not carrying Hardy line anymore.

The Cortland ebay store had those in the good trout sizes a few months back for $25.00. They still have a DT7 floater and an number of sinking lines for $19. I never pulled the trigger on them but apparently that line of Harky line was made by Cortland.

I used it and got about a month out of it and found a nice cozy home in a trash can for it. Hardy makes some top of the line products but there line leaves a lot to be desired. I switched over to Orvis Hydros for all of my lines.
