Friends are planning a fly fishing float trip on the North Branch of the Susquahanna this Fall and are looking for a reputable outfitter/guide with fly fishing experience. Any recommendations? Thanks.

I live on the NB and the guy you want is:

Lance Dunham of L.D. Guide Service in New Albany, PA 570-250-1147 or www.ldguideservice.com

He's been guiding the NB Suskie for 30+ years and is the only full time guide on the NB. He caters to fly and spin guys. He practices C&R and can put you on fish. Smallie fishing is awesome on the NB. You even can get into some walleye, pike, and muskie.

He's the best! Fully and completely.... the best! I highly recommend him. Tell him Dave @ JJ's Jigs told ya to call.

If your looking for a few flies that work great on the NB... (that I use extensively for SMB)

River King Crayfish Fly

Dave's Ghost Popper

Fat Head Minnow Fly

JM's PT Soft Hackle

Home Invader

and course the Deep Clouser Minnow

Anthrocite Outfitters are great, too! They specialize in kayak wade/float trips and know the river very well.

They get lots of big smallies, cats, some walleye and the occasional muskie!

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the input.
