No fishing for me today, after I closed the shop at 1:00 I jumped right into yard work. Spent hours picking up twigs, leaves, then cut the grass for the first time. I noticed that an adorable little groundhog family set up residence in my razz berry patch. They really enjoyed eating my 7 newly planted blue berry bushes down to nubs. If by chance these wonderful creatures would stricken with some horrendous illness and everyone of them would happen to die. Would their pelts have any fly tying value?

Yes, they would...

Before the tying materials world went bat---t crazy for synthetics, there was a time when woodchuck was used quite often for dry fly wings (mostly downwing stuff) streamer wings and dubbed bodies.

I still use it quite a bit. Its good stuff, IMO...
