I am sure this topic has already came up, but i was just curious with the Green Drake Hatch on Penns Creek. I was looking around online and in fly shops for some ideas, but wasn't sure what would be good on Penns. What are some of your favorite Green Drake Patterns for this creek?

I like the Ausable bomber, size 14. the bomber will bring trout to the surface even when nothing is hatching. Excellent prospector pattern for those who insist on fishing drys.

Here is about the only Green Drake Dry I fish these days. A modified Haystack. Moose Body hair tail, Tan Hareline dubbing, Olive Deer Hair. On a size 12 2xl curved shank dry hook.

Foam backpacks on there gutcutter?

I thought I was a genius when I thought of that on my own.... then I realized it was already a thing. I put them on most of my spinners now. Not sure how much it helps but I at least think it does.

I use a foam strip under the hackle as well as on top of it on my larger hook spinners (and some duns, too). It makes a nice foam thorax.
It definitely helps them float once the dubbed abdomen gets saturated.
