Green Drake Hackle

Not to get off topic but one day fishing Penns there were some green drakes coming off sporadically. The fish were keying in on them and being new to fly fishing I didn’t have a lot of flies. In some beginners kit I must have gotten, there were two of the ugliest loooking green drake patterns with proportions all jacked up and bright colored green wings and hackle. Very cheaply/badly tied.

Those fished hammered those two flies until they were so beat up I could no longer fish them. Funny how things work out sometimes.
