In case anyone is in the market for a good pair of boots. LL Bean is changing their Gray Ghost studded boots to a boa lace system but they currently have the old style studded on sale for $119 and free shipping. I paid $170 for my original set. They are a very good boot with the exception of the laces. The laces will probably break in about 3 to 6 months but just make new ones out of paracord and you are good for a few years. The studs never seem to wear out either. They will seem stiff for the first outing or two but they loosned up quickly. I know at least 2 other PAFF'ers beside me that swear by these boots. I just ordered another pair because at that price you can beat em.
