I'd say that same paranoia exists in our current society. I think about the possibility from time to time.

I worry about giant cicada invasions, grass density between Mifflintown and Muskrat Springs, leaky waders, the high price of split shot, the stocking of Class A stream sections and the abuse of eels & brown trout by sex starved sickos...

Nuclear annihilation...

I don't worry about that so much. 😉

anyone have eyes on the grass density between mifflintown and muskrat springs?

To answer the op question....
Haven't been over there yet this year but it is after June 15th and I'll bet that if it is normally weed choked, no exception this year. Every place that normally gets under water grass on the main river is thick with it and it's spread to more sections that didn't have it last year. I'll bet it is thick enough around Amity that you can lay on top of it

Fished that section a couple of weeks ago before the heavy rainy. Definitely grassy. Made fishing anything under the surface a pain. I stuck with a black boogle bug and had a great day.

I recommend you to float it and find out for yourself. It will most likely be the same year-after-year through that stretch of river.
