Is a day like today good to fish for Grannoms on the little J ? 50’s, Cloudy, off and on rain ?

Days like this are the BEST days to fish. Go get 'em!

You never know for sure unless you go.

The best time to fish any hatch is when you can.
Are you fishing FOR Grannoms or WITH them?

The trout are there every day, grannoms or no grannoms.

A friend of mine told me this story. He was fishing Penns Creek during sulphur time and the fishing was really good.

Someone drove up and asked if the Green Drakes had started yet. My friend answered, truthfully, that no they had not started yet.

And the person turned their vehicle around and left.

They had apparently come to Penns Creek TO FISH THE GREEN DRAKES.

Simply fishing for trout in Penns Creek was not on their agenda.

Regarding the situation now, there are other hatches happening, in addition to grannoms. I don't mean specifically on the Little J. I mean on trout streams in PA in general.

Spring has sprung. It's game on. Go when you have the opportunity.

Exactly.

If you have the free time to go fishing, you probably should.

Agree to all above...."just do it!"

Now is prime time for trout fishing in PA > there's no time better in PA than the six week period from late April thru early June. Any decent trout stream with a moderate flow should be fishing well. Get out there and enjoy!

Must be nice to have all those bugs hatching, we are still stuck on Quill Gordon's and Blue Quills down here below you guys. Just can't get consistent temps to blow the door open for everything else.
