Every time I see anything on tenkara I have to laugh. Tenkara , the newest thing in fly fishing.It brings back some memories for me. Almost 20 years ago I was A Cubmaster for our local cub scouts. The one scouts parents had A nice little plot of land with A small pond on it. We did our end of the year camping trip there and stocked the pond with trout. We gave all the scouts hooks and fishing line and told them to find A stick and find their own bait. They love it, they all caught fish and one scout even found A goose feather and took A piece of string and tied part of the feather to the hook. When he started to catch fish with it A lot of the scouts did the same. At the campfire that night the biggest conversation was about fly fishing and I am glad to say that I know at least 5 of them still fly fish today.
