Lol maybe after all of the beers I thought it was a rainbow. Tough fall on the system compared to last year. I was there nearly every weekend from 4/15 until last weekend and only got my boat out 4 or 5 times after july 4. Looking forward to next spring. Always fun to meet up with you guys and fish.

Hopefully there will be a decent steelhead season in wny. Havent been out yet but will be in the next couple of weeks.

My buddy and I did pretty well on Fallfish up there that weekend. Maybe rename the jam "Autumn Fallfish Jam" (pun definitely intended).

Agreed. Chubs outnumber the trout 500:1
Probably the most overrated fishery that gets any type of press.

Not sure why I waste my time going there.

Late addition to this thread.

Spicoli (aka Jason) made it to the Catskills.....so I ran up last minute to spend a day with him.

The fall colors were amazing. We had point blank interaction with several bald eagles and a few deer (including this buck).

An absolutely perfect day to be out in the mountains. One thing that I found amazing......
Jason hooked 6 different species. We landed 5 of them. Got into several bows, a few straggler browns, chubs galore, smallmouth and a walleye on the fly. We lost a sucker 8' from the boat. He also had a chase from either a musky or a striper....it was way to big to be anything else.

What a cool day.
