Had welcome and unusual company on the Delaware between Philly and Chester today...a harbor seal. Very nice.

I had no idea there were seals in our part of the world. Very cool.

I Googled "seals Delaware Bay" and found an article saying that seal numbers are increasing in New Jersey.

And also found a video taken from a charter fishing boat out of Lewes, Delaware, which shows several seals.

a few years ago we saw a young seal on the beach near Lewes, very cool sight.

I have spent many years and summers on the Jersey Shore and have never been lucky enough to spot a seal.
