Just curious how many of you remember Fred Reese and his fly shop in Jersey Shore. Fred was a great guy, a talented and innovative tyer and produced and dyed a lot of his own materials. His Muskrat blend and faux seals fur were some of the best. I used to stop at his shop all the time when I was traveling through the area on business and he helped me a lot.

Never met Fred or visited his shop but in a world where mass produced Wapsi and Hareline garbage adorns the tying sections of almost every shop these days, those old school custom dyed and sourced materials that are tested and perfected on local rivers are truly a dying breed.
