The flying ant hatch kicked off last night on the North Branch Susquehanna River. It's 3 weeks late. Usually starts at the end of August in my neck of the woods.
The river was boiling with rises. Try a size #20. All I had were a few #14's last night. I caught a few bass but I'm sure I would have done better with a smaller fly. The slate drakes were out in full force as well. The Ants hatched at around 4pm and the Drakes came out at 7pm.
