I second the green weenie. I also don't have very much luck on a rainbow warrior. I seem to be able to catch one or two out of run but never 4-8 like I might with some other patterns.
I have to say that the muddler is one of my favorite flies. I catch a lot of trout on them when there is no action on top of the water. Great fly to have when they aren't jumping. I weight mine and fish it on my regular dry fly set-up. Might not work in real deep water but it works for me about anywhere. Another fly that is a must is the Adams. Probably more fish caught on an Adams than any other fly.
