I found a spool of line that had the following label on it: Mastery Series WF-7-FS WET TIP V. The final 15 feet of line are a thinner diameter then the rest of the line. I know it's a weight forward seven weight line, but was curious if anyone could tell me about the end (I haven't had a chance to try it yet). Is it just a tip that doesn't float or is it a sink tip? Thanks for any help.

It's a Scientific Anglers Mastery Series sink tip line, available in a variety sink rates (rates II - V). Gonna be ideal for streamers, wet flies or nymphs run deep without an indicator.

Thanks six-gun. I'm guessing the five is the fastest sink rate. Do you have any experience with the line?

Yes, V is the fastest sink, but Imhabe not fished this particular line. Looking at the website, it chieves 8' of sink in a moderate flow. That would be a big help in hitting deep holes mid-run.
