I have always purchased my wading boots a size larger than regular shoes since I fish cold water and need space for heavy wool socks. The thick stocking feet also require space. However, during the summer I like to wade wet using my wading boots and they are too large for my bare feet. The solution: get a cheap pair of black flip flops. Cut off the straps and trim them to fit inside your boots like in-soles. They can be easily removed when it gets cold. Most flip flops are about a half inch thick which fills the size gap and gives me a good fit with my over size boots. Plus, most flip flops are made of closed cell foam which floats - you can used the cut off trimmings for beetle, bass bug, and cricket bodies.
