I was wondering if anybody knew where I could buy some very thin (.001) diameter fishing line to snell very small size 28 hooks with. Thanks in advance!

Varivas 10x flouro tippet should be around that small. I'm not sure if you can get any smaller than that with any consistency.

Yeah, pretty sure tippet is your only option. Look for 10x.

Too late - saw it this morning.

FWIW - Varivas 10X is not .001" in diameter. Varivas does not follow the "X" size designation on 9X and smaller tippet, or 11X and 12X couldn't exist. It's a rip off.

A MUCH better option would be 7X Rio Fluoroflex. It'll work fine with a sz 28 hook.

on a size 28 I would use Varivas 12x and just run it through the eye and wrap thread over then glue to hold it. you can double it for xtra security.

OK, I'll say it-- you never need size 28 or tippet smaller than 6x. Never!

define need....or never.

need-- necessary.
Never-- not ever.

Certainly never needed.........unless you wanna catch fish midging.

7X Flouro will work just fine with size 28
