Hi everyone, I have recently moved to the Pocopson area of Chester County and my 9 year old son is just starting out. I heard that we can fish in the Pocopson Creek.. Can anyone point me to a public spot along the creek where this is permitted?
Many thanks!

Welcome. Take Brintons Bridge Road from 926 for about 1/4 of a mile and pull over and park where the stream turns towards the Brandywine. The landowner has actually installed a ladder which straddles the fence for fishermen to access his property. Fish from 926 down to the Brandywine. There will be trout there, but you should also catch a bunch of bluegills, fallfish, rock bass and God knows what else. Good place for the young guy to learn. Zoom in on the map and you'll see it.

Great, many thanks for the tip!

Shoot me a note if you have any other questions - I live about 1 mile from the stream as well.

Very tough stream to FF, but bait fishing would be okay.
