This pic clinches it. His reel is a Martin, one of their models either 61 or 63. We can’t see the spool release so can’t say for sure which one.

Offering a SPF 50 sun hoodie for a $40 dollar donation.
I could use a new one, and went for it.
Haven't got it yet though.

Meanwhile, was in a Walmart the other day

I was gifted one of those plaid performance Orvis shirts for my birthday and I’ve got to say it’s crazy comfortable and keeps me cool on hot days.

I’m for functionality and performance all day over “appearance”, I certainly don’t blame anyone or judge them for wanting all of that in one package, particularly when there are brands like orvis, and countless other brands, producing it.

Time on the water is sacred for me, so the time I am on it I want to have all the “tech” I can to make my experience as enjoyable as possible. If it’s “fashionable” that’s just a plus.

Not sure I understand why but went into Walmart today and they had a complete inventory of the shirts they had just cleared out. Now at regular price of $18.99.

Not sure that could explain it. Not much else was on clearance. Believe me, if they cleared out fishing equipment at hose discounts, I would have loaded up the truck. Costco also had a big blowout of clothing recently.

Probably just flushing out the ild stock from the system to bring out the new stock. Old stock has been paid for and is pure profit. New stock needs a certain % sold til they hit break even/profit threshold and then they can start messing with discounts.
