Why tie a pellet fly? Just grab a container of mealies and have at it. Use a fly rod and call it fly fishing. (insert smiley face here)

Take a handful of fish food pellets. Wet them and smush it into a paste. Make a brown dubbing loop fly. Then swish it around in the pellet paste. Let dry. fish it.... remarkable fly for pellet heads. Even the big 'bows around DonnyBeav's place. I call it my "FU" fly.

I've tied it in spun deer hair. I dont really like fishin it, but it will work. Throw in a handful of tiny stones and cast er out there.

We did alot of work at a hunting camp that had a pond with trout they bought. Tried a bunch of dif. flies no soap, they kept a trash can of pellets so they were well fed. Got the idea to spin a pellet fly to see what would happen, bam into fish. :-D
