I'm completely new to fly fishing (I can't even tie my leader the right way). I was practicing by fishing for bluegills, but they were being stubborn. I threw my popper into a large group of them and this bass took it. It was 2lb 4oz, my biggest bass by far and possibly the biggest fish I ever caught. After that experience I don't think I'll go back to spin reel fishing.
