Caught a 10 pound Snakehead Wednesday,on a kayak that I just bought two hours before (Jackson Mayfly great fly kayak ).Took me two years to break the double digit mark. Fish of lifetime possibly, but I hope not, I’m looking forward to the next one, fish bent my peacock bass rod like a twig then I couldn’t get the fish to fit in my net

Congratulations! I have read that these fish are very good to eat. My next snakehead meal will be my first. I am sure that a fish that large was quite a battle.

Which state? NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA?

Nice! On what looks like a popping bug? I’ll bet that was quite the explosion. Congrats!

Well done.

Is there a PA state record for NSH (or other U.S. states)?

Righteous catch Fred! You're the snakehead master!

This fish was caught in Delaware it was a pound shy of the state record . The fly is one of my own creations . Yeah loving the new yak mojo , my fly is on the water allot more with the new yak I have less fly tangles and it has great tracking so it keeps the paddle out of my hand more which equals more casts on the water .
