Finally

Broke 20" on a small stream with this 22" male. Unreal fight. Will be going back with my streamer rod and checking out the rest of the area for sure! Goes to show that you stick it out and put the time in, fish hard enough, it eventually will pay off.

Agree - just an awesome fish and one to remember.

It has some really neat characteristics: big adipose with multiple red spots, black belly, hook jaw, and an unusually dark pectoral fin. Very interesting fish.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I was hoping you would enjoy the picture. I am definitely still grinning, and thinking about the next trip out for sure. May be the fish of a lifetime for me, and I would be okay with that.

Nice fish Brooks! I am curious how close you were to Stocked water? I ask becasue I suspect he was a stockie who moved into that small stream (per your description).

Definitely the first time I've seen a black belly on a brown. Still a great fish, congrats!
