While I fish a lot of parachutes and comparaduns, the OP asked "Favorite Style Dry to Tie"

That would be catskill ties. Take a look and behold the Red Quill Catskill tie posted by GenCon below.

A thing of beauty.

Thanks Afishinado,

Appreciate that.

If I could tie catskill style as well GenCon, those would be my favorite as well. Its humbling to look at to be honest.

I think I'm in the minority that I don't tie parachutes at all. I can tie them, but I can tie comparaduns much faster, and for flies size 18 to 12 I haven't found many fish that won't eat them.

My favorite Dry to tie is the good old fashion cork popper.

Who said anything about trout . Cork popper is my dry fly :pint:

Now that right there is funny. :pint:

'Cause mine is a Gurgler....

I enjoy tying cdc dries and emergers. But I also tie a lot of parachutes for blind casting to likely spots. Well proportioned Catskill dries are gorgeous, but I'm not very good at tying them, and I don't have as much confidence in fishing them.
