I have been steelheading with my 10ft6in 3wt Euronymph rod for the past 3 years. You can imagine, it doesn't have a lot of A$$ to fight a steelhead. So I'm looking for a beefier rod to Euronymph for steelhead. I will be using bobbers/strike indicators more than I usually do trout fishing due to the situation that is steelhead fishing. Eggs are heavier flies, especially wet and when equiped with a bead, so a super supple tip isn't as necessary to flip or lob egg flies. Plus, I drop shot egg flies, so the split shot will do a lot of work for me.
Do you have a recommendation of a 10 ft-ish rod that would be good for this?
I have one recommendation, the Recon 5 wt 10 ft. Any others?

T&T makes a 10’8” 6wt nymphing rod meant to do this.
Diamondback also makes an Ideal Nymph 10’10” 6 weight - same designer, he left T&T and went to Diamondback.

They’re coming out with a next generation version in February, so you’d have to track one down at a Diamondback dealer until the new ones come out. Decent bit cheaper than the T&T, but not US-made.
