Elk Hair Caddis

My preferred caddis dry is a EHC. However, I would prefer to fish a mayfly imitation over a caddis for early season dry fly fishing. Usually I will stick with a pupa over a dry this time of year.

Im kinda the same way, Im a sucker for swinging soft hackles through rising fish eating hatching caddis', there is something about watching that line swing through a pod of rising fish knowing that in any second your rod is going to get bent over, one of my absolute favorite ways to fish
