Anyone interested in collecting data for identifying brook trout streams in SE Pa should either contact me or their local TU Chapter. There are a lot of projects going on this year, but PVTU will be surveying the Perkiomen for brookies and some of the other chapters are working on identifying brookie streams already.
Here is what we are looking for;
Brook Trout, access, ownership (public vs. Private), location weather and any other information that may be pertinent. We will be looking for brook trout streams that are not on the Class A list or the Natural Reproduction list.
We are also interested in whether the streams have brook trout only, or are mixed populations. The information will be gathered and streams will be indentified as to priority for projects and gaining public access.
